On September 23rd, Brothers Steve Tramposch, Kraig Gray, and Adam Faillace were all raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason at Ashlar-Aspetuck Lodge No. 142’s annual Farm Degree. This was the 11th Annual Farm Degree for Ashlar-Aspetuck and was held at the Monroe, CT farm of RWB David Klein, Current District Deputy.

For those of you that have never attended the Farm Degree, it is certainly is a sight to see. The degree takes place on an actual working farm and is conducted by torch light by some of the best ritualists in the state. Those involved in the degree, as well as many of the guests, are clad in overalls and boots to add to the ambiance.

One of the best parts of the degree, besides seeing the portrayal of the Conspiracy and Tragedy, is the preparation room along with how the candidates are transported to and from the “lodge room”. (you’ll have to attend to find out) This year’s degree had something even more special as Brother Ernst Tramposch.  89 years old, was able to make the trip up from New York City and assist in the raising of his son Steve. This was a very emotional moment for both of them, as well as those in attendance.

Congratulations to our new Master Masons and a big thank you to those involved in putting on one of the finest degrees in Connecticut.
